Frequently asked questions
Where do the groups take place?
The location of in-person groups vary depending on project. Groups for metro area participants are often held at our office in downtown Minneapolis, groups outside metro are held in locations closer to where participants live.
We also have virtual groups, held online via Zoom Meetings. Participants must have internet access, a working webcam, Chrome or Firefox browser is preferred. A smart phone can work but is not ideal as it is difficult to see details of shared material on a small screen.
What is involved in participating?
Each project is different, but each will involve hearing information from a legal case and giving your feedback. Sometimes this may be hearing a small part of a legal case and having a discussion, or it could be hearing most of the case and deliberating like an real jury would. We are looking for fair minded individuals who are willing to listened to the information and give honest feedback.
How do I qualify?
Participants need to have a drivers license or state issued ID that is valid in the state you live. Outside of that requirement, each project has its own specific criteria. When you fill out the survey, we will review your information and contact you when we have a group that you will fit into.
I filled out the survey but I have not heard from you, how come?
Each project requires participants from certain cities/counties, and they also vary in how many participants are needed. If we do not have anything for you right away, we will contact you when additional groups are scheduled to see if you are still interested and available.
